Yul’s Restaurant—my absolute go-to spot to unwind in Mombasa. The food and drinks are top-notch, and their pistachio ice cream is a personal favourite. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with a wide range of dishes, including fresh seafood, all served in a setting that perfectly complements the serene seaside atmosphere.
But this place holds an even deeper meaning for me. It’s where I’d spend Saturday or Sunday afternoons with my late mom, relaxing by the ocean, soaking in the peaceful views. We’d often choose a quiet spot overlooking the water, where the breeze and the sounds of the ocean would add to the calming atmosphere.
Those magical moments, watching the sun dip as the moon rose, are memories I’ll always cherish. The natural beauty of the place, with its unobstructed view of the horizon, created an unforgettable backdrop to those moments.
